The most significant difference between 802.11ac and 802.11n is the speed. 802.11ac is much faster than 802.11n, providing speeds of up to 1.3 Gbps compared to 600 Mbps for 802.11n. 802.11ac also operates in the 5GHz frequency band, which is less prone to interference than the 2.4GHz band used by 802.11n.
