ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) is a protocol used to map IP addresses to a physical machine address (MAC Address). ARP is used to map an IP address to a MAC address on a local area network (LAN).
RARP (Reverse Address Resolution Protocol) is a protocol used to map a physical machine address to an IP address. RARP is used to map a MAC address to an IP address on a local area network (LAN).
