Kbps stands for kilobits per second and Mbps stands for megabits per second. Kbps is a measure of data transfer speed and refers to the rate of transferring 1,000 bits of data per second. Mbps is a measure of data transfer speed and refers to the rate of transferring 1 million bits of data per second. Generally, Mbps is much faster than Kbps and is better suited for applications that require higher bandwidths, such as streaming videos or downloading music.
