NSLookup (or “Name Server Lookup”) is a network administration command-line tool used to query the Domain Name System (DNS) to obtain domain name or IP address mapping or other DNS records. It is useful for verifying and troubleshooting DNS problems and also for performing DNS queries to find out important information about a domain such as DNS record types, mail servers, name servers, etc.
