Types of RAM include the following:
1. Static RAM (SRAM): SRAM is a type of RAM that stores data in a static state, meaning the data is not erased when power is removed from the device. It is much faster than dynamic RAM (DRAM) but also more expensive.
2. Dynamic RAM (DRAM): DRAM is a type of RAM that stores data in a dynamic state, meaning the data is erased when power is removed from the device. It is much slower than SRAM but also less expensive.
3. Synchronous Dynamic RAM (SDRAM): SDRAM is a type of RAM that synchronizes its operations with the clock speed of the CPU. It is faster than DRAM but more expensive.
4. Double Data Rate (DDR): DDR is a type of RAM that transfers data on both the rising and falling edges of the clock cycle, allowing for faster data transfer rates.
5. Rambus Dynamic RAM (RDRAM): RDRAM is a type of RAM that uses a proprietary bus structure to transfer data at high speeds. It is more expensive than other types of RAM but is considered to be the fastest.
