Most routers have multiple IP addresses because they are used to connect multiple devices to a single internet connection. The router assigns individual IP addresses to each device connected to it, so that each device can be uniquely identified on the network. Additionally, some routers use a separate IP address for the router’s administrative interface, which allows users to configure the router’s settings.
