A Cisco Access Point (AP) is a type of device that allows wireless communication between devices and networks. It provides an access point, or “hotspot”, for wireless clients to connect to a wired network. By providing this connection, it allows users to access the internet and other resources on the network. The AP also provides security to protect the data passing through it.
