To change the static IP address in Windows 7, open the Control Panel, click on Network and Sharing Center, click on Change adapter settings, select the network connection you are using, right click and select Properties. In the Properties window select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click the Properties button. Enter the new IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, preferred and alternate DNS servers. Click OK twice to save your changes.
