Encapsulation is a process of wrapping data and functions together into a single unit. It provides a way to protect data from outside access and misuse. During the encapsulation process, data and functions are combined into a single object, which is then given a unique name. The data and functions within the object are then made private, meaning they can only be accessed and changed by the object itself.
