1. Log into your router’s web-based setup page. This is usually done by typing 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 into your web browser’s address bar. Enter your router’s username and password when prompted.
2. Locate the Wireless Settings or Wireless Network section. This section may be located in a different area depending on the router’s make and model.
3. Select the channel you wish to use for your router. Many routers allow you to choose from 1 to 11, depending on your region. It is also possible to set your router to use “Auto” for the channel, which allows it to automatically select the best channel for your network.
4. Save your changes by clicking the Apply or Save button.
5. Restart your router by unplugging it and then plugging it back in.
