Network Access Protection (NAP) must be turned on in the Windows Server 2008. To do this, the following steps need to be taken:
1. Log into Windows Server 2008 with administrator privileges.
2. Open the Server Manager console.
3. Select “Roles” from the left navigation pane.
4. Select “Network Policy and Access Services” role.
5. Click “Add Role Services” button.
6. Double–click on “Network Access Protection (NAP)” component.
7. Select “Next”, followed by “Install” to complete the installation.
8. Once the installation is done, you can configure the NAP policy from within the Server Manager console.
