1. Determine the type of Internet connection you have. This will determine which type of router you need.
2. Connect the router to the modem. Depending on the type of router and modem, you may use an Ethernet cable or a coaxial cable.
3. Connect the power cord to the router and plug it into the wall outlet.
4. Use the Ethernet cable to connect your computer to one of the router‘s Ethernet ports.
