Ransomware can infect a computer in a few different ways, such as by clicking on a malicious link in an email or downloading a malicious file from the internet. Additionally, ransomware can be installed on computers through unsecured networks, such as public Wi-Fi hotspots. It is also possible for ransomware to be spread through malicious websites or by exploiting known software vulnerabilities.
