This depends on the type of activity the users will be engaging in. A basic web page with text and images would require very little bandwidth per user, while streaming video or audio could require significantly more. Generally, it is safe to estimate that each user would require at least 1 Mbps of bandwidth. Therefore, for 1000 users, you would need at least 1,000 Mbps (1 Gbps) of bandwidth.
