To add a new path to the Linux PATH environment variable, you will need to edit the .bashrc file in your home directory. Open the .bashrc file in a text editor and add the following line at the end:
export PATH=$PATH:/path/to/new/directory
Save the file, and then run the following command in your terminal to reload the .bashrc file:
source ~/.bashrc
