1. Right–click on the Start button and choose Network Connections.
2. Right–click on your network connection and select Properties.
3. Under the Networking tab, click on “Change adapter options” in the upper right–hand corner.
4. Right–click on the adapter that you want to change from public to private and select Properties.
5. Under the Sharing tab, check the box next to “Private (current profile)”.
6. Click OK and close out of the remaining open windows.
