1. Open the terminal window by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T.
2. Type the command sudo passwd root and press Enter.
3. Type the current root password when prompted and press Enter.
4. Type the new root password twice and press Enter.
5. You will receive a message that the password has been successfully changed.
