1. Log into the switch via the console port with a terminal emulator such as PuTTY
2. Enter privilege EXEC mode by entering “enable”
3. Enter “show mac address–table” to list all currently known MAC addresses connected to the switch
4. Enter “show ip arp” to list all IP addresses currently alive on the network
5. Enter “show cdp neighbor” to view all the directly connected devices to the switch
