To check the status of an E1 connection on a Cisco router, you can use the show controllers command. This command will display the status of the E1 physical interface, as well as the status of the Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 protocols associated with it. For example, if the E1 is connected to a Frame Relay interface, you can use the show frame-relay map command to display the status of the Frame Relay connection.
