1. Check for Unusual Logins and Processes: Check for any unusual logins in your system, especially from unknown IP addresses or sources. Also, check for any suspicious processes running on your computer as a ransomware program would usually have a process running in the background.
2. Scan with Anti–Virus Software: Use an anti–virus software to perform a full system scan and check if any malware is present in your computer.
3. Check For Encrypted Files: If you notice any files that are encrypted with a strange file extension, it’s a sign of a potential ransomware attack.
4. System Restore: Use the Windows System Restore feature to restore the system to an earlier point in time, before the attack happened.
