1. Open the PDF in Preview. You can do this by either double-clicking on the PDF file, or by dragging and dropping it into the Preview window.
2. Select the Annotate toolbar icon. It looks like a pencil and a square.
3. Select the “Comment” option. This will open a list of commenting tools.
4. Choose the type of comment you would like to add. You can add a text comment, a note, or a highlight.
5. Click and drag the cursor to add the comment. If you chose to add a text comment, a text box will appear. Type your comment in the box, then click the checkmark to save it.
6. When you are done adding comments, you can save the PDF by selecting the File menu and choosing “Save.”
