1. Open the Packet Tracer program.
2. Select the Routers tab from the left menu.
3. Select the router you want to configure and drag it onto the workspace.
4. Double-click on the router to open its configuration window.
5. Select the “Interfaces” tab.
6. Click on the interface you want to configure and select “Edit”.
7. Enter the IP address of the default gateway in the “IP Address” field.
8. Enter the subnet mask in the “Subnet Mask” field.
9. Click “OK” to save the changes.
10. Select the “Routing” tab.
11. Click “Add” to add a new static route.
12. Enter the IP address of the default gateway in the “Destination” field.
13. Enter the subnet mask in the “Netmask” field.
14. Enter the IP address of the interface you used to configure the default gateway in the “Gateway” field.
15. Click “OK” to save the changes.
16. Click “Commit” to apply the changes.
