1. Connect the router to your Internet connection and power it on.
2. Login to the web–based administration interface of your router using the IP address, admin username, and password.
3. Navigate to the VPN settings in the router‘s configuration menu. This may be under either a “LAN“ or “VPN“ tab depending on the router model.
4. Enter the hostname of your VPN provider along with the account details they provided. Often you will need to provide the shared key, or pre–shared key, which is a unique string of characters that authenticates the connection.
5. Save your settings. 6. Connect any devices you wish to use through the VPN to the router.
