1. Plug one end of an Ethernet cable into the back of your wireless router, and the other end into your modem.
2. Connect the power cable to your router and plug it into a wall outlet.
3. Turn on your computer and launch your internet browser.
4. Enter your router’s IP address in the address bar. This is usually “192.168.1.1”.
5. Enter the username and password for your router. This should be on the back of the router or in the manual.
6. Once you are logged in, navigate to the wireless settings page.
7. Select the network name (SSID) that you want to use for your router.
8. Choose the type of security you want to use (e.g. WPA2).
9. Create a unique password and save your settings.
10. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from your router and modem and test your connection by connecting to the wireless network.
