1. Connect an Ethernet or coaxial cable from the cable modem to your computer or Wi-Fi router.
2. Restart your computer and wait for a connection to be established.
3. Open a web browser of your choice.
4. Enter http://10.0.0.1 into the address bar and press Enter.
5. Enter your Comcast username and password. This information is usually found on the bottom of your modem.
6. Click the Login button.
7. Click Wireless on the top menu and then select Settings.
8. Select the security type and enter a Wi-Fi password of your choice.
9. Click Apply.
10. Disconnect the cable and connect your wireless devices to your Wi-Fi network using your chosen password.
