1. Connect your computer to the Linksys router using an Ethernet cable.
2. Open your web browser and type in the default IP address of the router (usually 192.168.1.1).
3. Enter the administrative username and password when prompted.
4. Go to the Wireless tab and click on the Wireless Security sub-tab.
5. Configure your security settings.
6. Click the Save Settings button to apply the new settings.
7. Connect your wireless devices to the network and enter the security key when prompted.
1. Make sure the Linksys router is connected to an Internet source such as a modem or a cable connection.
2. Connect your computer to the router using an Ethernet cable.
3. Open your web browser, and type in the address for the router’s administrative interface. This will usually be “192.168.1.1“ or something similar.
4. Log in with a username and password. If this is the first time you are setting up the router, the default credentials should be printed on a label attached to the router device.
5. Look for the “Wireless” tab in the router settings, and click on it.
6. Set up the SSID (network name) for the wireless network.
7. Choose the security mode you prefer (WPA2–Personal is recommended).
8. Set the encryption type to AES and enter the wireless password associated with the network.
9. Save the settings and exit the interface.
10. Connect your other wireless devices to the network by entering the SSID and the wireless password.
