To do an nslookup on Mac, open the Terminal application and type in the command “nslookup” followed by the domain name. To perform a reverse lookup, use the “-type=ptr” argument. For example, “nslookup -type=ptr http://www.example.com”. To find the mail server for a domain, use the “-type=mx” argument. For example, “nslookup -type=mx example.com”.
