1. To begin, open a Terminal window. This can be done by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T in Ubuntu or press the Terminal icon if you can find it.
2. After opening the terminal window, type in telnet followed by the IP address of the remote computer that you want to connect to. For example:
telnet 192.168.0.1
3. Press Enter on your keyboard and a window will appear prompting you for a username and password. Enter the appropriate credentials.
4. If the credentials are correct, you’ll be granted access to the remote computer. You can now execute commands as if you were working directly on the remote computer.
5. When you’re finished, press Ctrl+] to exit the telnet window.
