Using a computer, you can find an IP address by using the command prompt (on Windows) or Terminal (on macOS/ Linux). To do this, open the command prompt or terminal window, type in ‘ipconfig’ and press enter. This will show you your local IP address, as well as other useful information. If you need to find the IP address of another computer on your network, use the ‘ping’ command followed by the hostname or IP address of the other computer.
