1. Check if the Service is Running
Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows + R keys simultaneously on your keyboard. Then, type “services.msc” before hitting Enter. This will open the Services window, where you can find out whether the Windows Security Center service is running as desired or not.
2. Enable the Security Center Service
If the Windows Security Center Service is not running, you will need to enable it manually. Right–click on the service and select “Start” from the pop–up menu. This will enable the service and the Windows Security Center feature should start working again.
3. Restart the Computer
Once the service has been enabled, you should restart your computer to ensure that all the changes take effect. After the restart, you should be able to access the Windows Security Center feature on your computer again.
4. Uninstall and Reinstall the Security
Center Service If the above steps don‘t work, then you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the Windows Security Center service. To do this, open the Control Panel and select “Uninstall a program”. Select the Windows Security Center service from the list and follow the on–screen instructions to uninstall it. Once uninstalled, restart your computer and then download the latest version of the Security Center service from the Microsoft website and install it.
1. Open the “Run” dialog box by pressing the “Windows” key and the “R” key at the same time.
2. Type in “services.msc” in the “Run” dialog box and press “Enter” to open the “Services” console.
3. Scroll down and find the “Windows Security Center” service.
4. Right-click on the service and select “Properties”.
5. Select the “General” tab and change the “Startup Type” to “Automatic”.
6. Click the “Start” button to start the service.
7. Click “OK” to save the changes.
