1. Open the Command Prompt window by typing “cmd” into the Windows search bar.
2. Type “ipconfig” and press the Enter key.
3. Look for the line that reads “IPv4 Address” and the number next to it is your computer’s IP address.
To get your IP address using the command prompt, open the command prompt by typing “cmd” in the Windows search box. Then, type “ipconfig” and press enter. Your IP address will be listed as “IPv4 Address” under the heading “Ethernet adapter”.
