1. Connect an Ethernet cable from your modem to the WAN (Internet) port on one of your wireless routers.
2. Connect another Ethernet cable from one of the LAN (local area network) ports on the first router to one of the LAN ports on the second router.
3. Connect your computer to one of the LAN ports on the first router.
4. Power on both routers.
5. Open a web browser on your computer and type in the IP address of the first router. This is usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
6. Enter the username and password to log in to the router’s settings page.
7. Look for the Wireless Settings page and enable the second router’s wireless network.
8. Change the SSID (network name) of the second router to something unique, so that it is different than the first router.
9. Set the encryption type (such as WPA2) and a strong password.
10. Save the settings and exit the settings page.
11. Test the connection by connecting a wireless device to the second router’s network.
