1. Download an ISO of the version of Ubuntu you would like to install from the official Ubuntu website.
2. Connect your USB drive to your computer and make sure it is plugged in securely.
3. Format the USB drive as a bootable drive. On Windows you can use the “Universal USB Installer“ or “Rufus“ programs to do this. On Mac, you can use the “dd“ command in Terminal.
4. Once the USB drive has been formatted as a bootable drive, you can open the ISO file you downloaded and use a program like “Etcher“ to burn the ISO onto the USB drive.
5. When the burning process is complete, remove the USB drive and connect it to the computer you wish to install Ubuntu on and boot from the USB drive.
6. Follow the instructions on the screen to install Ubuntu onto your computer.
