To check whether your laptop is GPT or MBR, you can open the Disk Management utility by typing “diskmgmt.msc“ in the Windows Start Search bar. Once Disk Management is open, locate your laptop‘s primary hard drive listed as Disk 0. If it‘s partition style is listed as GPT, then your laptop is using GPT; otherwise, if it‘s MBR, then it‘s using the MBR partition style.
