1. Gather the necessary materials: Ethernet cable, crimper, RJ45 connectors, and a pair of scissors.
2. Cut the Ethernet cable to the desired length.
3. Strip away 1 inch of the outer insulation from the end of the cable.
4. Separate the individual wires within the Ethernet cable.
5. Untwist each wire and straighten them out.
6. Place an RJ45 connector onto the end of the cable.
7. Position the wires into the appropriate slots in the RJ45 connector and crimp the connector shut.
8. Repeat steps 2–7 for the other end of the cable.
9. Test the cable by plugging it into a computer or network device.
10. Troubleshoot if needed.
