To make a LAN cable longer, you can use a coupler (or a splitter) to join two cables together. To do this, you’ll need two cables of the same type (cat5e, cat6, etc) and a coupler. Start by cutting off the ends of both cables and exposing the colored wires. Then, twist the wires of the same color together and secure them in the coupler. Finally, attach the coupler onto the two cables and you’re done.
