1. Gather the materials you need for installation. You will need an Ethernet cable, the power adapter for your router, and the router itself.
2. Connect the router to a power source. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet and then plug the other end into the back of the router.
3. Connect an Ethernet cable to your modem. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the back of your modem, and the other end into the WAN port on the back of the router.
4. Connect an Ethernet cable to your computer. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the LAN port on the back of the router, and the other end into your computer.
5. Turn on the router. On the back of the router there will be a power switch. Flip the switch to turn it on.
6. Wait for the router to finish booting up. This process may take a few minutes.
7. Access the router’s setup page. Open a web browser on your computer and enter the IP address of your router.
8. Follow the instructions on the setup page to configure your router.
9. Test your connection. Once you have finished configuring your router, you can test your internet connection to make sure it is working properly.
