1. Read through the instructions provided with the API Master Test Kit to familiarize yourself with what is included and how each test needs to be performed.
2. Prepare the testing solutions according to the instructions, using the appropriate measurements for each solution.
3. Fill the testing vials or test tubes with the sample water and add the prescribed amount of each solution, stirring them thoroughly.
4. Submerge the test tubes in the test rack and allow the reaction to take place.
5. Record the results in the chart for each test.
6. Compare the results to the ranges listed in the supplied color chart to determine which tests require further investigation.
7. Retest the sample if necessary, to confirm the results and identify any possible contaminants.
