To read an on/off switch, you will need to identify the types of switch terminals and understand how the switch works. Most on/off switches have two terminals, one for the power source and one for the load, or device receiving the power. When the switch is in the “on” position, power flows from the power source to the load. When the switch is in the “off” position, the power is disconnected from the load.
