1) Connect to your switch via the console port.
2) Once connected to the Cisco switch, log in with the username of “admin” and no password.
3) Reset the switch to the factory defaults by entering the command: “erase start” and press “enter”.
4) After the switch has finished resetting itself, re–enter the command “reload” and press “enter”.
5) At this point the switch will ask you to save the running configuration, type “no” and click “Enter”.
6) The switch will then ask to confirm the reload, type “yes” and press “enter”.
7) After the reload is complete you will be able to log into the switch using the default username and password of “cisco/cisco”.
