1. Open up the Control Panel, and type network into the search box. Choose Network and Sharing Center.
2. On the left side of the window, choose Change adapter settings.
3. Right–click on the connection you want to set as a static IP address for and select Properties.
4. Click on the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) option and click Properties.
5. Enter your IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway.
6. Enter the IP address of the DNS server you want to use.
7. Click OK, then close all windows. Your static IP address is now set!
