1. Establish the network: Connect your modem to your router, if you have not done so already. The modem will provide the internet connection to your network.
2. Connect the computer: Plug one end of an Ethernet cable into a LAN port on the back of the router, then plug the other end into the Ethernet port on the computer.
3. Install the Network Adapter Drivers: If your computer does not have an Ethernet port, you will need to install a network adapter. Download and install the driver for the adapter from the manufacturer’s website.
4. Configure the Network: Depending on your router, your network may need to be configured. Open your web browser and enter the address of the router’s interface. Follow the instructions provided to set up the network.
5. Test the Connection: Once the network is configured, it’s important to make sure that the computer can connect to the internet. Open a web browser and try to access a website. If the website loads, then your connection is working properly.
