1. Connect your router to a computer using an Ethernet cable.
2. Open a web browser and navigate to the router’s IP address. This address can usually be found in the router’s manual or on the back of the router.
3. Log in to the router with the username and password. This information can also be found in the router’s manual.
4. Navigate to the wireless security settings page.
5. Create a secure password for your wireless network. The password should be at least 8 characters long and contain both upper and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters.
6. Save your settings and test the connection.
1. Log into your router‘s settings page. The settings page can be accessed by entering the router’s IP address into a web browser. To find the IP address, check on the back of your router or consult the user manual.
2. Find the Wi–Fi settings page and look for an option to set a password or passphrase.
3. Enter a strong password that contains a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. Be sure to note this password somewhere safe as you will need to enter it whenever connecting to the network.
4. Select a security protocol. The most secure protocols are WPA2–PSK (AES) and WPA–PSK (TKIP).
5. Save the settings and restart your router if prompted.
