1. Plug the modem into the new router‘s WAN port.
2. Connect an Ethernet cable from the main router‘s LAN port (not WAN port!) to one of the ports on the new router.
3. Turn off any DHCP settings on the new router.
4. Log into the main router and setup a static IP address for the new router, usually this will require you to go to the DHCP settings for the router.
5. Once the IP address is set for the new router log into it using the IP address assigned.
6. Configure the wireless network settings and security on the new router.
7. After all the settings are configured, plug a computer into one of the new router’s ports and make sure you can access the internet.
