1. Plug one end of the coaxial cable into the cable wall outlet, and the other end of the coaxial cable into the “Cable” port on the back of the modem.
2. Connect the WAN port of the cable modem to an Ethernet port on your computer or router using an Ethernet cable.
3. Power on the modem by plugging the power cord into an electrical outlet. A status light will blink green once the modem is powered up and ready for use.
4. Wait until the modems status lights are all stable (green, blue, or black) before proceeding.
5. Open the browser window on your computer, and enter the model specific activation address provided in the instruction booklet. This may be something like http://192.168.100.1
6. Follow the instructions on the screen to set up your modem. This may include providing your personal information, setting up a username and password, and entering your activation code.
7. Use your web browser to connect to the Internet and open a new page, such as www.google.com, to confirm that your connection is working properly.
