1. Connect an Ethernet cable from the LAN port of your existing router to the WAN port of the new router.
2. Power on the new router and log into its web-based setup page.
3. Change the settings for the IP address to be in the same subnet as your existing router.
4. Disable DHCP and NAT features on the new router.
5. Change the wireless settings on the new router to match your existing router.
6. Enable wireless security settings on the new router.
7. Save the settings and restart the router.
8. Connect your wireless devices to the new router’s network and enjoy your new access point.
1. Connect the router to your existing network via an Ethernet cable.
2. Log into your router‘s settings page, usually by typing in 192.168.1.1 or similar IP address into your web browser.
3. Find the Wireless Settings page.
4. Change the Wireless Mode to Access Point.
5. Give your router a new SSID (name) and set up a password.
6. Change the IP address of the router to something different from the main router on the network, such as 192.168.2.1.
7. Save the settings and reconnect your devices to the new Access Point.
