1. Log into the server with an administrator account.
2. Click the Server Manager icon in the taskbar.
3. Click the “Manage” menu and select “Add Roles and Features”.
4. Select “Role-based or feature-based installation” and click “Next”.
5. Select the server you want to install the role on, and click “Next”.
6. Select the “Remote Access” role, and click “Next”.
7. On the “Confirm Installation Selections” page, click “Install”.
8. Once the installation has completed, return to the Server Manager.
9. Open the “Remote Access Management” console from the Tools menu.
10. Click “Configure and Enable Routing and Remote Access” from the left-hand menu.
11. Select the “VPN” option and click “Next”.
12. On the “Configuration” page, select the type of remote access you want to configure, such as VPN or dial-up, and click “Next”.
13. On the “VPN Type” page, select the type of VPN you want to use, such as PPTP or L2TP, and click “Next”.
14. On the “IP Address Assignment” page, select the type of IP address assignment you want to use, such as static or dynamic, and click “Next”.
15. On the “User Authentication” page, select the type of authentication you want to use, such as local or RADIUS, and click “Next”.
16. On the “VPN Connection” page, configure the VPN connection settings, such as the IP address range, and click “Next”.
17. On the “Routing” page, configure the routing settings and click “Next”.
18. On the “Remote Access Policies” page, configure the remote access policies and click “Next”.
19. On the “Confirm Installation Selections” page, click “Install”.
20. Once the installation has completed, click “Finish”.
