1. Open an internet browser and enter http://10.0.0.1 in the address bar.
2. Enter your XFINITY username and password when prompted.
3. Click Gateway > Connection > Local IP Network.
4. Select “Use these IP settings” under Assign IP Address Automatically.
5. Enter your desired static IP address in the IPv4 Address field.
6. Enter 255.255.255.0 (or the appropriate subnet mask) in the IPv4 Subnet Mask field.
7. Enter the Default Gateway, or the router’s IP address, in the Default Gateway field.
8. Enter the primary and secondary DNS server addresses in their respective fields.
9. Click Apply to save your changes.
