1. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to your modem and the other end to your router‘s WAN port.
2. Connect your computer to any of the four LAN ports.
3. Open a web browser on your computer and type in the router‘s IP address into the address bar. The default IP address for Cisco routers is 192.168.1.1.
4. Enter the router’s default username and password. If you haven’t changed them, the default values are usually printed on the router itself or in the user manual.
5. Go to Wireless > Basic Settings and check the Enable SSID Broadcast box.
6. In the same page, set up a wireless network name (SSID) and enter a secure password. Make sure you use a secure encryption protocol such as WPA2.
7. Save the settings and restart your router.
8. Scan wireless networks on your device and connect to your newly created Wi–Fi network.
