The easiest way to switch between terminals in Linux is to use the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl+Alt+F1” through “Ctrl+Alt+F6”.
These shortcuts will switch you between the first six virtual terminals. Each virtual terminal is like a separate window and you can run different commands in each one.
To switch back to the graphical user interface (GUI), use the shortcut “Ctrl+Alt+F7”.
